Learn about our therapeutic approaches

  • CBT helps young people identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. This evidence-based approach empowers them to manage challenges like anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues by developing healthier coping strategies and fostering positive thinking.

  • Originally developed for those with intense emotional responses, DBT combines mindfulness with behavioral techniques to help young people manage emotions, improve relationships, and reduce self-destructive behaviors. It’s particularly effective for adolescents dealing with emotional regulation issues.

  • Play therapy uses play as a natural medium for children to express their feelings, process experiences, and resolve internal conflicts. This approach is especially effective for younger children, helping them communicate and heal in a developmentally appropriate way.

  • TF-CBT is a specialized form of CBT designed to help children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. It combines trauma-sensitive interventions with cognitive-behavioral techniques to reduce trauma symptoms and promote healing

  • ABA is a widely used approach for children with autism and other developmental disorders. It focuses on reinforcing positive behaviors and reducing negative ones through structured interventions, helping children develop essential life skills.

  • Art therapy allows children and adolescents to express themselves creatively, making it easier to explore emotions, resolve conflicts, and develop self-awareness. This non-verbal approach is particularly beneficial for those who may struggle to articulate their feelings.

  • Narrative therapy encourages children and adolescents to reframe their experiences and view themselves as separate from their problems. By rewriting their personal stories, they gain a sense of empowerment and agency in their lives.

  • Mindfulness-based therapy teaches children and adolescents to focus on the present moment with acceptance and without judgment. This approach helps reduce anxiety, improve concentration, and enhance emotional regulation, promoting overall mental well-being.

  • Strength-based therapy focuses on identifying and building on the inherent strengths and resources of children and adolescents. This approach empowers young people by emphasizing their abilities and resilience, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals with confidence and a positive self-image.

  • Grief therapy provides a supportive environment for children and adolescents to process the loss of a loved one. Through age-appropriate interventions, such as storytelling, art, and memory-building activities, grief therapy helps young people express their emotions, navigate the stages of grief, and find a path to healing and acceptance.
